Selim Corbacioglu is Professor of Pediatrics and the current chair of the PDWP of the EBMT. His research is focused on curative options for hemoglobinopathies and transplant-related systemic endothelial complications. He is the PI for a prospective international trial to evaluate haploidentical HSCT for patients with SCD and his center participates in several gene editing trials for patients with hemoglobinopathies. The recipient of the Van Bekkum Award of the EMBT, Professor Corbacioglu is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles published in Lancet, Lancet Hematology, Blood, Leukaemia and Bone Marrow Transplantation among others.
