Dr. Andrea Gallamini graduated in Genoa University in Italy. He completed his fellowships as visiting physician at the Onco-Hematology Department of A. Lacassagne Hospital in Nice, France; Immuno-Rheumatology Department of Saint Eloi Hospital; MD Anderson Cancer Centre of Houston; and the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit Hematology Department directed by Dr. A. Bacigalupo.

Dr. Gallamini has been senior assistant in the Internal Medicine Department in Cuneo Hospital, senior assistant and head of hematology and bone marrow transplant Department of S. Croce Hospital in Cuneo.

He is currently a Hematology Professor at the Research and Medical Innovation Department at Lacassagne Cancer Center in Nice, France.

Dr. Gallamini holds memberships in the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and
the European Hematology Association (EHA).

He has also been a member of the FIL (Fondazione Italiana Linfomi) expert commission on peripheral T-cell lymphoma and of Hodgkin lymphoma. He has been coordinator of the clinical imaging commission of the FIL.

In addition, Dr. Gallamini is a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Blood, Annals of Oncology, Leukemia and Lymphoma, Haematologica, the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, and is member of the editorial board of Leukemia and Lymphoma. His principal field of research interest is clinical management and functional imaging in Hodgkin lymphoma.

Dr. Gallamini published more than 160 articles indexed in PubMed and several chapters and full books on functional Imaging in Hodgkin lymphoma.
